Description

This is a 1904 map or plan of the city of Denver, Colorado, by E. M. Beeler. This promotional map issued by Bennett and Myers, covers the city of Denver from Elyria south to the University of Denver and from Sloans Lake east as far as Fairmount Cemetery. Throughout, the map notes street names and numbers, parks, rivers, creeks, tramways, real estate companies, etc. This map particularly promotes the neighborhood of Stebbins Heights (marked in red), at the time an up-and-coming neighborhood just south of Washington Park.

An advertisement for Bennett and Myers, Investment Bankers, appears below the title, along with photographs of other properties promoted by the investment bankers. Another advertisement for the Fuel and Iron Company also appears. This map, copyrighted by E. M. Beeler in 1904, was printed at the Smith-Brooks Press in Denver and was issued with compliments of Bennett and Myers – Real Estate, Loans and Insurance.
