This is a lovely 1754 illustration of Modern Inventions by Gabriel Ramirez. The chart includes three figures, representing new and 'modern' inventions of the time. The first figure is that of a pendulum, the second appears to be a kind of fountain, while the third appears to be a thermometer. Originally prepared in French by Abbot M. Pluche and translated into Castilian Spanish for publication in Volume VII, Part 4 of D. Gabriel Ramirez's Espectaculo de la Naturaleza, O Conversaciones a Cerca de Las Particularidades de la Historia Natural.
