Dictionary of Cartographers and Mapmakers

The Geographicus Rare and Antique Maps Dictionary of Mapmakers and Cartographers is an informal directory of explorers, surveyors, cartographers, map publishers, photographers, navigators, and scientists who have contributed to the cartographic corpus. While this list is by no means exhaustive or without error, it is a continually evolving project to which we invite others with any special knowledge of our subjects to contribute. For search purposes, our directory is listed alphabetically by organization name or first name or first initial if the first name of the individual.
