An unusual manuscript map of Jilin Province, Manchuria, China of unknown date and origins. Based on the style and geography, this map most likely dates from about 1900. It is certainly later than 1860 when Primorsky Krai was ceded to Russia, and earlier than 1932, when the Japanese occupation reduced the size of the Province. It is hand drawn with a decorative border. The map shows train lines radiating from the central city. The area covered is considerably larger than modern day Jilin Province, here incorporating most much of Heilongjiang Province as far as the confluence of the Amur River and Ussuri River. One of a kind.
