Solomon Bolton (fl. c. 1750 -1775) was an English cartographer active in the middle part of the 18th century. Bolton's most notable works are the adaptions of D'Anville's maps published in conjunction with Malachy Postlethwayte's Dictionary of Commerce. There is another figure at the time who produced an important map of Africa identified as S. Boulton. We believe this to be Samuel Bolton. Some have contended that Solomon Bolton and Samuel Boulton are one and the same.
