Pedro Francisco Massano de Amorim (January 14, 1862 - May 31, 1929) was a Portuguese cartographer, military officer, and colonial administrator who served as the Governor-General of Angola (1916 - 1917), Mozambique (1918 - 1919, 1923 - 1925), and Portuguese India (Goa) (1927 - 1929). In 1896 - 1898, he fought in 'pacification and occupation' campaigns against the Gaza Empire, a semi-independent Portuguese vassal state. Afterwards he was transferred to Angola where he undertook a variety of military functions, including cartography, before leading Portuguese forces in suppressing the Bailundo revolt on the Benguela Highlands. The remainder of his career was split between Angola, Mozambique, and Portugal, before being posted as Governor General of Portuguese India, where he died in 1929.
