Benjamin Joseph Falk (October 14, 1853 - March 19, 1925) was an American based photographer who specialized in celebrity portraits, including Theodore Roosevelt and Georgie Drew Barrymore, and panoramic images - mostly of military encampments, battleships, sports teams, and other large groups. His firm, Falk Photo Company, was based in New York, with an annex in Boston. Falk was born in Manhattan and graduated from the City College of New York in 1872. He studied the emerging field of photography under George Rockwood. In 1877, Falk opened a photo studio in New York, at 347 East 14th Street. Enjoying considerable success, in 1881 he relocated to 949 Broadway (22nd St, where the Flatiron is today). It is not clear when the Boston branch of his firm opened, but likely after 1910. The Boston branch seems to have focused more on the panoramic images than celebrity photography.
