Peter Rushton Maverick (April 11, 1755 – December 12, 1811) was a New York City based engraver active in the late 18th and early 19th century. Maverick was the patriarch of a family of New York engravers. His son Peter Maverick engraved, among other things, the seminal Mangin-Goerck (1803) and Bridges (1811) Commissioner's Plan of New York City. Peter R. Maverick had his shop at 65 Liberty Street, New York.
