Henry Murgotten (1868 - October 16, 1937) was an American publisher and printer. Born in San Jose, California, Murgotten served in the U.S. Navy from 1898 until at least 1904 and was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. He served as the Captain's writer on the battleship Iowa for five years. By 1909 Murgotten was a partner in the publishing firm of Melvin and Murgotten in San Jose. The firm operated until at least 1914. Murgotten died suddenly at his printing shop. He was married to Mabel N. Murgotten, with whom he had two children.
