Peter Wolf (June 11, 1918 - May 30, 2005) was an American artist and Broadway set designer. Wolf was born in Southampton, Long Island, New York. He attended Yale Drama School, where he met his wife, Caroline Mariah. Early on he developed a connection with Texas while working with Dallas Summer Musicals, which he was involved with for 35 seasons. Wolf moved to Dallas permanently in 1947. His design company, Peter Wolf Concepts, was a tour de force in the world of theater, but his work also extended to murals for the Adolphus Hotel, corporate design, and projects for Ross Perot. He also issued a pictorial map of Texas - his only known cartographic work. Wolf died in Texas in 2005 and his archives are scheduled to be donated to the Southern Methodist University.
