Virginia Worthington Powel (February 21, 1915 - May 23, 1999) was an American artist and teacher. Born in Washington, D.C., Powel moved to Texas with her family at a young age. It is unclear when she started teaching art at the Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, but records suggest she taught there beginning in the 1960s and through the early 1970s. Her husband, Harford Willing Hare Powel (November 11, 1916 - November 21, 1965) also taught at Andover. Virginia Powel died in Bradenton Beach, Florida.
