This is a 1960 Virginia Powel composite view of Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. Philipps Academy is an elite co-educational university preparatory school founded in 1778. Nineteen buildings that are part of the Academy are expertly drawn in profile. These include Samuel Phillips Hall, the Borden and Memorial Gymnasium, the Addison Gallery of American Art, Cochran Chapel, and the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library.
