Ughi, Lodovico
Lodovico Ughi (fl. c. 1700 - 1729) was an Italian mapmaker active in the first part of the 18th century. His origins and life details are obscure. He is remembered solely for his monumental, groundbreaking 1729 plan of Venice: this mammoth plan was one of the largest of Venice ever produced, and was the first such plan to be based on modern survey.
