Paul-André Basset (1785 - 1819) was a French publisher active in Pairs during the second half of the 18th century and the early years of the 19th century. Bassett issued maps and prints as well as producing wallpaper and more. He was the son of André Bassett, also an engraver of note. Bassett was very active during the American Revolution and subsequent French Revolution and issued numerous important maps relating to these conflicts. Paul-André Bassett himself retired in 1819, but the business continued under various family members as Maison Basset until 1865. The firm operated from the corner of Rue St Jacques and Rue des Mathurins, Paris.
