International Publishing Company (Charles Kuharich, Industrial Worker)
International Publishing Company (fl. c. 1911 - 1918) was a Cleveland, Ohio-based publishing concern owned and operated by Charles Kuharich (1861 - 19xx). The firm is known for its leftist communist / socialist posters and magazines, specifically the Industrial Worker. The firm also published several pro-labor socialist chromolithograph broadsides in cooperation with Nedeljkovich, Brashich, and Kuharich (fl. 1911 - 1917). We see no record of International publishing after 1918, and by 1920, the owner, Kuharich, owned a bookshop.

Called either 'The Tree of Evil' or 'Diseases and Crimes', this is a provocative 1912 pro-labor socialist chromolithograph broadside published in Cleveland, Ohio, by Nedeljkovich, Brashich, and Kuharich in partnership with Kuharich's extreme left-wing International Publishing Company. This is one of 3 socialist broadsides issued by Nedeljkovich, Brashich, and Kuharich, the others being Pyramid of the Capitalist System (1911), The Last Strike (1912). It is a powerful visual critique of capitalism, class inequality, and superficial reform. (more details)
