Leutemann, Heinrich
Heinrich Leutemann (October 8, 1824 - December 14, 1905) was a German artist, born and active in Leipzig. He was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in that city. He is mainly recalled as a zoological illustrator and a lithographer of educational posters; his work included zoological atlases and ethnographic texts. He is known to have engraved maps as commercial work for Leipzig publisher Ernst Kleins Geographischem Comptoir, Hinrichs'sche Buchhandlung, and others.
