Gordon-Michael Scallion (September 26, 1942 - 20xx) is/was (?) an American futurist and modern-day 'prophet' best known for his doomsday predictions of a cataclysmic series of events ranging from a polar shift to major changes to the Solar System to meteor strikes. He is often compared to another American 'prophet' Edgar Cayce (1877 - 1945). Scallion began his career as an electronic consultant. In 1979, during a routine client meeting, he suddenly lost his vision and hearing. While being rushed to the hospital, he had a series of visions relating not only to his personal future but to coming global events, ranging from political shifts to apocalyptic doomsday scenarios. Some call this kind of event a 'psychic awakening'. Scallion's visions, which he attributed to 'The Matrix' (?), persisted until at least 1991, likely longer. Some of his 'successful' predictions include the 1984 Mexico City earthquake and the 1988 election of George Bush as president. To disseminate what he believed were significant warnings for humanity, Scallion established the Matrix Institute and, as early as 1982, began publishing a series of 'Future Maps' of North America and the world. These high-quality productions underwent multiple editions and updates as some predicted events failed to occur, and his visions evolved. Although always extreme, his predictions became more so over time. These will include the re-emergence of the lost civilizations of Lemuria, Mu, and Atlantis and the arrival of a 'blue star', causing the people of Earth to turn blue and acquire psychic powers. Scallion may still be alive. We find traces of activity until about 2011, after which he vanishes from public record. The Matrix Institute website is defunct and for sale.
