Janet Livingston Smalley (May 16, 1893 - February 16, 1964) was an American artist and illustrator. Born Janet Livingston Shontz in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Smally made a career out of illustrating children's books. At some point in the 1940s she began working for the Friendship Press in New York City and illustrated at least one of their wall maps, the Picture Map of the World. Smalley married her husband Alfred Porch Smalley in 1917.
