Description


Created as a promotional piece for Stylan Valu Clothes, this extremely rare 1934 Whitney Graham city map or plan of Buffalo, New York also features a 1935 calendar. The map, situated above the calendar, depicts the city from Lake Erie and the Niagara River to the City Line and from Grover Cleveland Park to South Park and the South Park Conservatory. Streets throughout the city are identified, as are the railroads, canals, bridges, and parks. The University of Buffalo is illustrated and labeled in the upper right quadrant. The Stylan Valu factory, located at 479 Washington Street, is marked by large black lettering and an arrow pointing out its location.

Good. Bear calendar stapled to paper in map's lower quarter. Closed tears extending one, one and one half, and four inches into printed area professionally repaired on verso. Closed margin tears professionally repaired on verso. Exhibits areas of loss along margins. Close top margin. Blank on verso.
