This is a fine c.1935 map or city plan of Detroit, Michigan by the National Lithograph Company. It covers Detroit from Grand Lawn Cemetery east to Lake St. Clair and from the Rackham Municipal Golf Course south as far as Melvindale. The map also includes the neighboring areas of Windsor in Ontario, Canada and Michigan. The map is highly detailed and notes individual streets, schools, steam roads, car and coach lines, parks, rivers, cemeteries and several other details.
The Ford Motor Company's Dearborn plant, which helped Detroit become the automotive capital of the world in the early 20th Century, is identified. An inset of downtown Detroit depicting routes and principal boarding stations is included in the lower right quadrant of the map. Verso features a street index. The map is copyrighted by the National Lithograph Company and issued by the United News Company, 24 W Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, Michigan.
