Earliest Beatles maps of Liverpool.
This is a rare and complete 1974 City of Liverpool Beatles souvenir set, including a Beatles pictorial map of Liverpool, a Beatles Fan Club letter, several Beatles postcards, and other Beatles ephemera. Per the National Museums of Liverpool, included here is 'one of the first Beatles maps of Liverpool that was ever produced.'A Closer Look
In the style of The Beatles' animated film Yellow Submarine, the Beatles' pictorial map of Liverpool labels sites significant to The Fab Four. It marks the locations where John, Paul, George, and Ringo were born, the addresses where they lived, the schools they attended, and the locations of their earliest gigs. Streets throughout are labeled, with signposts for Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields included. John, Paul, George, and Ringo are illustrated as they appear on some Yellow Submarine posters in the upper right, along with two other characters from the film. The Yellow Submarine itself appears in the River Mersey, along with numerous other boats, fish, and seagulls. It is important to note that the image included in this listing is not to scale; the map itself is 17 x 15 inches. We believe this souvenir set to be complete, but with no other comparable examples, we are unable to state that definitively. This set was published by The City of Liverpool Public Relations Office in 1974.
