Description

This is a 1957 Fred Harvey Company bird's eye view tourist map of the Grand Canyon. Illustrated from a vantage point high above the Grand Canyon's South Rim, the view identifies many landmarks within the Canyon, including Tonto Plateau, Zoroaster Temple, Confucius Temple, and Point Sublime. Many of the overlooks around the Rim drives are labeled as well. The Kaibab Trail, the most popular rim-to-rim trail through the Grand Canyon, is prominently marked, as is Bright Angel Trail. Text along the bottom border promotes the Canyon as a tourist destination and highlights its many incredible attributes. The final section suggests possible activities for tourists and, of course, lists the Fred Harvey Company hotels and other properties in the area.
