Description
This highly appealing map or view of Canada was published for the Century of Progress Exposition held in Chicago in 1933. Issued as a promotional brochure encouraging development and tourism, the map features a bird’s eye view of Canada covering from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean. Several places of interests are noted on the map, including national parks, rivers, cities, islands and topography. Ships are seen sailing in the ocean. Includes a small inset of Key Plan and promotional messages including ‘Canada. A fertile Investment Field’, and ‘An Ideal Vacation Land’. The top and bottom margins also include promotional messages. Verso includes images and text explaining the Mineral resources, Agriculture, Fisheries and Lumbering in Canada.
