1910 Turkish Atlas Map of North America

This is a color lithograph map of North America, probably printed in Istanbul in the first decades of the 20th century for inclusion in a Ottoman-Turkish student atlas. A combination of color and hachure is used to indicate mountain ranges. Rivers, mountains and bodies of water are labeled in Ottoman-Turkish script: political boundaries do not appear to be shown. The map is executed in a somewhat larger format than other examples we have seen of this type.
