Description

This is a 1980 V.T. Skobin city map or plan of Odessa, Ukraine. The map depicts the region city from Chernomorets restaurant (Summer Restaurant No. 1) to the Suvorovs'kyi District and from Ilyichevsky district to the Black Sea. Written entirely in Russian, numerous city streets are labeled and well over one hundred different locations are identified by symbols. These include sites such as monuments and memorials and go so far as to specify monuments and memorials to the Great Patriotic War (World War II), theaters, and concert halls. Every day locations, such as restaurants, summer restaurants, cafes, theaters, gas stations, service stations, parking lots, sporting facilities, and beaches are also noted. Train and bus stations are labeled as well. All of these locations correspond with an index that is printed on the verso. An inset map situated in the upper left corner depicts central Odessa and includes several profile views of important buildings and monuments. Other locations, such as movie theaters, restaurants, and cafes are also noted.

This map was edited by V.T. Skobin and published by the Main Directorate of Geodesy and Cartography in 1980.
