This is a 1961 Hanna-Barbera Productions pictorial map of Yogi Bear and Jellystone Park. This piece was published the same year Yogi Bear got his first stand-alone show, The Yogi Bear Show.
A Closer Look
Illustrations of Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, his sidekick, fill the map. Mr. Ranger, Huckleberry Hound, Ziggy, and Cindy Bear also appear. Yogi is illustrated entertaining the tourists, going off to college, performing, and swimming in the swimming hole. Yogi and Boo Boo are drawn disguised as tourists at the bottom center and playing near 'Old Faceful' (a geyser playing off Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park).Publication History and Census
This map was created and published by Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1961. We note a single cataloged example, located at Texas A and M University. We have found only two other instances when it has entered the private market, both at auction.Condition
Very good. Light wear along original fold lines. Slight loss to upper left corner of margin not effecting printed image.
