Yost, Francis Lambert (sold)


Francis Lambert Yost (May 18, 1914 - January 16, 1993) was born in Windber, Pennsylvania. He was inducted into the U.S. Army on April 2, 1942, and served overseas from September 12, 1944, through August 27, 1945, reaching the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He was discharged on January 7, 1946. He served as a liaison officer in the Headquarters Company of the 692nd Tank Destroyer Battalion. His enlistment papers described his profession as an artist or art teacher.
