Description
This is a c. 1980 Rosemary Fernie pictorial map of Bermuda. Illustrations encircle the central map, which details Bermuda's road network, delineates and labels parishes, and identifies landmarks and tourist sites, including the island's six golf courses. Circular insets highlight Hamilton and St. George and even identify locations within each city. The illustrations surrounding express Bermuda's history and natural beauty. Sea birds, fish, and flowers appear alongside the Sea Venture (which wrecked off Bermuda in 1609 and may have inspired William Shakespeare's The Tempest), and mopeds. A pictorial border presents illustrations of tourist sites, activities, and Bermuda's culture and history.
