Blumner, Frederick (sold)


Frederick Blumner (fl c. 1856 – c. 1865) was a German-American landscape and portrait artist active in and around New York City during the middle part of the 19th century. Blumner's work, which was published by a variety of printmakers, is frequently compared to the work of Currier and Ives. Blumner partnered from 1856 to 1860 with Gustave Kraetzner, publishing under the imprint of Blumner and Kraetzner.
