Rè, Sebastiano di (sold) (Sebastianus a Regibus Clodiensis, Sebastianus Clugiensisfl)
Sebastiano di Rè (fl. 1557 - 1578), also known as Sebastianus a Regibus Clodiensis or Sebastianus Clugiensis, was an engraver and mapmaker active in Rome. He is understood to have been a native of Chioggia near Venice. In 1560, he was recognized as a member of Rome's Congregazione dei Virtuosi al Pantheon, a Papal academy of the arts. All of his works - maps and prints alike - are rare. The latest of these is dated 1578. He produced maps for Tramezzino, George Lily, Ligorio, and Salamanca.
