This is a fine 1894 map or chart of Long Island Sound by David Daboll. It covers from Block Island westward as far as the northern Manhattan and the Tappan Zee. It includes the eastern and northern coast of Long Island, including Block Island, Gardiners Island, Plum Island, and the southern coast of Connecticut. The chart is based on earlier U.S. Coast Survey charts and notes the location of numerous lighthouses, buoys, and beacons throughout. Shoals, reefs, and other important maritime information is also included. Includes an advertisement by Darrow and Comstock, Ship Chandlers, in the bottom right quadrant. This map was created by L.E. Daboll C.E., and was issued as part of Daboll's Almanac in 1894.
