The essence of the Renaissance Humanism distilled into a single 1585 broadsheet publication. This is an extremely rare, separately-issued educational broadside printed in 1585 by Gerard De Jode, based on the Papal physician Andrea Bacci’s conception of mankind’s place within the Cosmos - Bacci's proposition is noted centrally: 'Homo qui ad universi ordinem conformatus dicitur Μικροκοσμος' [The man, who is configured by the order of the universe, is a Microcosmos.] (more details)
