This is the only surviving example of Curtis M. Barker's unrecorded 1901 cyanotype or blueprint city planning wall map of San Jose, California - today's 'Capital of Silicon Valley'. It presents the city during an explosive period of expansion, as new developments and neighborhoods were being added continuously. This is an 1850 James C. Sidney wall map of Dutchess County, New York, published a year after the Hudson River Railroad reached Poughkeepsie and a year before it reached Albany. The map marks a definitive moment in Dutchess County history, when the railroad opened the region - for the first time, to large-scale commerce and industry. This is, consequently, the largest and best early map of Dutchess County to appear before the American Civil War (1861 - 1865). This is moreover, an exceptional example of an early-American county map, the precursor of later town and county maps by Beers, Walling, and others. (more details)

This is a rare 1790 Pierre-François Palloy broadside map of the Bastille published as part of Palloy's brilliant contemporaneous merchandising of the French Revolution. Palloy recognized the significance of the Bastille as a symbol of the French Revolution. With the inspired idea that he would sell off the Bastille block by block, Palloy began demolishing the infamous prison on the night of its Storming. His entrepreneurship and promotional efforts not only made him rich, they also effectively cemented the Storming of the Bastille in the global imagination. The printed ephemera Palloy published to promote his demolition of the rebranding of the Bastille is thus of the utmost significance and rarity - this being just one of just 6 confirmed surviving examples.
